CELL PHONES: Cell phones need to be placed in your Chromebook Case. If you have a family emergency or a need to communication with your parents, let me know and we can make a temporary exception for your situation. Being well-prepared for class included avoiding the distractions of your cell phone. To earn your daily work and participation points, phones must be put away!
Research has also found teenagers who are addicted to their smartphones have higher levels:
anxiety
depression
memory loss
inability to focus
impulsive behavior
sleeplessness
difficulties with expressing creativity.
EAR BUDS/AirPods, etc: They may be used on Friday, during sketch book/studio time, unless that option has been revoked. Only your Chromebook may be used for music, NOT YOUR CELL PHONE!
FOOD & DRINK: Water will be the ONLY drink allowed in the classroom. Many pieces of artwork that have been ruined due to spills, wet rings or food left on tables.
LATE WORK POLICY: Work turned in after the due date will be docked 10% for each day it is turned in late.
LEVEL 2 courses are designed for advanced students. Work in each course builds upon previous art experiences from LEVEL 1 classes. Greater levels of creative thinking and higher degrees of technical skills are expected for the class work. Students must be self-motivated and self-disciplined and exerts greater dedication to their art. Research projects may be required.
