Course Overview:
Drawing will provide students with the opportunity to build knowledge of basic drawing and drafting techniques. Students will develop their understanding of line, value, composition, contour and perspective.
Class activities and projects are designed to encourage students to demonstrate different techniques to achieve a desired appearance and aesthetic, as well as to express their creativity.
Students develop basic drawing skills, including the ability to perceive and express visual relationships, organize a two-dimensional composition, and depict and manipulate form, space, and light. Students work from direct observation of still life, interior spaces, and landscape.
